Welcome

What to Expect

Welcome to Discovery Church! We're a warm and welcoming community of faith, so feel at ease. You will walk through the doors into a swirl of friendly people. You can slip in and slip out again if that’s your style. But if you are ready to get to know us, check out the following:

Welcome Desk

Just inside, you’ll see the Welcome Desk that is your key to lots of information. There, you will find someone knowledgeable and ready to answer any question. “When does the next worship service start?” “Where do I check in my son for Discovery Hour?” “Is there a restroom nearby?” He or she will point you in the right direction. You’ve already got a friend.

The Lobby

Beyond the Welcome Desk is the Lobby, an open lounge area for people like you and our regular attenders to mingle and meet. It is the place for making a friend or two and starting to feel at home. Before or after the service, make your way to the Discovery Cafe. You'll find pastries, coffee, tea, and much more. The Cafe is our ministry to all who come to Discovery to worship, volunteer, and visit with friends. Preview a typical Sunday.

Worship Services

Some people like to dress for services, but casual and jeans are also appropriate. We’re a relaxed community. It’s about God, not clothes! During the service, we join voices in a time of praise & worship which allows us to express our feelings of joy and love for God. Our praise team leads us in upbeat, contemporary songs to help us celebrate the wonderful changes that Jesus Christ has brought into our lives. We also enter into a time of worship-filled singing that draws us into a more intimate time with God. Another act of worship is giving back to God a portion of what He gives to us in a collected donation. Our regular attenders find this a great way to give thanks to God for all that He provides. As a visitor of Discovery Church, please feel free to let the plate pass you by. Our Pastor gives a weekly message that is built upon God's Word and relevant to today's real-life situations. They are inspiring, uplifting, and designed to help you grow in a more meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. Listen to recent sermons.

The first Sunday of every month we set aside a time during the service to observe communion. The bread we eat and the juice we drink represents the life that Jesus Christ gave up so that our sins could be washed away. If you have given your life to Jesus Christ, you are welcome to join us.

What about the kids?

Bring them! During the worship service, we offer age-appropriate care in a safe, fun environment for newborns through 4th grade . During the Discovery Hour (after worship) we have classes for all ages including adults! When you enter the building, head down the hallway to the right and a friendly staffer will help you check in.
